  26. "REMOVABLE HARD DISK CACHING" EISA Configuration Option
  27. or
  28. "REMOVABLE HD CACHE ENABLE" Switch option (SW2 - 4)
  29.  
  30. This option should be [ENABLED] ONLY when the removable media will NOT be 
  31. exchanged/swapped during the BOOT cycle.
  32.  
  33. However, if for some reason the option must be [ENABLED] and the cartridge must 
  34. also be exchanged/swapped, there is a workaround using the DOS "FLUSH.EXE" 
  35. Cache Flushing utility supplied with your Fast Disk SCSI Controller on 
  36. Diskette#1 (\DOS\FLUSH.EXE).

  38. Use the following three steps:
  39.  
  40. 1.    At the DOS prompt, key in the command
  41.  
  42.         flush n
  43.  
  44. to flush and disable the cache of the card in slot n.
  45.  
  46. 2.    Swap/exchange the cartridge.
  47.  
  48. 3.    Key in the command
  49.  
  50.         flush n -e
  51.  
  52. to flush and re-enable the cache of the card in slot n.
